IABR-2018-

Together with the Veldacademie and AIR, the Expertisecentrum Maatschappelijke Innovatie (EMI, Expertise Center for Social Innovation) presents the Atelier-Café #4: Studying in Rotterdam Zuid.
This program is part of a series of four Atelier-Cafés that are being organized during the first part of IABR–2018+2020–THE MISSING LINK. Central to this series are the findings of students from the Hogeschool Rotterdam and Delft University of Technology, who are working together with EMI and De Veldacademie in the Fieldlab Social Resilience.

Cubust
Today, in the last in the series of Atelier-Cafés, we’ll discuss (student) housing, the economy, urban design and social cohesion. We’ll look at how studying, just like living, working and recreating, can be optimally integrated in the city, and why it can only then be really resilient.

The Cubust

The focus is on residential building the Cubust, which could be a solution. The Cubust approaches the seven qualities of resilience from an architectural and social perspective, and translates these into design principles. During this Atelier-Café, experts, partners and students, together with Nicole van Dijk from Museum Rotterdam, will talk to each other about this unique project.
