Today, Marie-Anne Souloumiac, coordinator of Studio Roosegaarde talks about Schoonheid as an activator for urban change.
Virtual floods, smart highways and smog sucking towers; Studio Roosegaarde pulls technology out of the screens to examine and activate solutions to improve daily life in urban environments.
This High Noon will explore the importance of "schoonheid" (a Dutch word meaning both beauty and cleanliness) as an activator for clean air, water and energy to combat climate change and thus as a tool to address the missing link.
A special focus will be on the “making of” new Schoonheid in the Rotterdam Makers District, the M4H area, where Roosegaarde’s studio the Dream Factory is located and where the Smog Free Tower is exhibited.
