The Master Class Tourism as an Instrument for Sustainable Development builds on the results of the IABR–2014–Project Atelier Planet Texel and focuses on how to productively integrate the often seemingly contradictory agendas of ecological and economic development. How can these ambitions be connected in such a way that they strengthen instead of obstruct each other?

In order to stimulate capacity building and explore integrative and sustainable development perspectives, Architectuur Lokaal, commissioned by the IABR, organizes three Master Classes on sustainable development through the deployment of research by design.
