Inspired by the theme of IABR–2016, the Schieblockberaad is a temporary consultative body composed of Directors (General) of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL), Rijkswaterstaat (RWS), the Dutch Ministries of Infrastructure and the Environment, and of Economic Affairs, the Environmental Protection Agency (DCMR), the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate and the Port Authority of Rotterdam.
The Schieblockberaad regularly exchanges views on the relationship between policy development and social dynamics, and their relevance for the development of the Environment Planning Act.
On the basis of two cases from the Green Deal North Sea Resources Roundabout, this meeting will focus on Circular Economy and in particular the increase of the use of waste as secondary raw material.
