Know Your Food? is the fourth publicly accessible evening organized by the Atelier Government Architect at the IABR–2018+2020–THE MISSING LINK platform. The evening includes a buffet and a public program inspired by the design competition Brood en Spelen (Bread and Games) organized by Dutch Government Architect and IABR–curator Floris Alkemade.

When we think about the production of our food, our desires, fantasies, and goals are often not in keeping with the actual facts. During the buffet you can get a taste of the food of the future: insects and seaweeds. Both are very healthy, sustainable to produce, use little water, and emit little greenhouse gas. It is the kind of food that may well be used to combat poverty and malnutrition. After the buffet current and future food patterns will be discussed with various guests, including Patricia Stevens, Berno Strootman, Jan Huijgen, Jorrit Kiewik, Mac van Dinther, and Henk Wildschut.
